Privacy Policy

Last updated [EFFECTIVE DATE]

This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY] (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Knight Solo at knightsolo.com (the “Service”).

Information we collect

We collect the following:

  • Account information — your name and email from sign-in.
  • Audit inputs — the domains and URLs you submit for analysis.
  • Public site content — publicly available pages of the sites you audit, which we fetch and analyze.
  • Billing information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We store customer and subscription identifiers and your plan status; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Google Search Console data — if you connect it: your list of properties and read-only search performance metrics (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position), plus an encrypted OAuth token used to fetch that data.
  • Referral & program data — referral codes, attribution, and commission or fee-split records.
  • Usage & technical data — log data such as IP address, device and browser information, and cookies.

Google user data & Limited Use

If you connect Google Search Console, we request only read-only access (the webmasters.readonly scope). We use this data solely to generate and display your audit’s search-opportunity analysis to you. We do not modify your Search Console or your website.

Knight Solo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except as necessary for security or to comply with law, where you give consent, or in aggregated/anonymized form. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard or revoke access in your Google Account settings.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the Service — to run audits and generate reports, process payments, administer referral and agency programs, communicate with you, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember referral (ref) and agency-onboarding (ag) attribution so credit is applied correctly at signup. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we share information

We share information with service providers who help us run the Service — including Stripe (payments), Google (Search Console data you connect), our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, and our database provider — under agreements that limit their use of it. If you sign up under an agency, that agency can see that you are their client and your subscription status. We may disclose information to comply with law or protect our rights, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion as described below.

Security

We protect data in transit with encryption and encrypt your Search Console OAuth token at rest, and we limit access to personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices & rights

You can update your account information, disconnect integrations, and cancel your subscription at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. [Add any GDPR/CCPA-specific disclosures required for your users.]

International users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to that processing.

Children

The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
